We have been having a lot of internet trouble at our apartment complex with internet, and recently, the internet providers switched out a router or something, as well as increased the system overall because of all the trouble. However, in the change, for some reason my network connection was saying "Network Cable is unplugged" even when the cable was connected-meanwhile all of my roommates' connections were working fine. After lots of time on google, I found a site suggesting to change the "Link Speed and Duplex" parameter in advanced network settings to 10Mbps Full Duplex instead of auto detect- and it worked. Any of the other choices do not work however, and no one else in the apartment had to change any settings, and meanwhile their internet connection says "Local Area Connection....Speed: 100Mbps" while mine is only saying 10Mbps and runs very slow. What might some reasons be for this? It is very frustrating! They finally fix the internet and now I don't enjoy the benefits of it!
