People have said that using an antenna to drive steve wards class e tesla coil is to hard.I want to use that schematic but if using an antenna poses too many things to overcome,i want to do something different.Is there any other way that requires few components?

There are basically two methods for feedback with SSTCs: antenna feedback and secondary base current feedback. Really many people have used antenna feedback successfully. The biggest problem with antennas is that they can get direct hit from the coil. So put it far enough from the coil! Remember also to ground the secondary well. Base current feedback is propably more reliable, but I think antenna is still better for first timers. My antenna feedback worked the first time I put on the power. Build antenna feedback first, do some low power testing, then go further and build base current feedback and put more power in.

Thank you guys!I love this forum!i will build the antenna first then build his feedback coil...but were it says "to 7h....)is that were it would go to the ucc37322?Or which ever driver chip i intend to use?
