I have heard of using OBIT's (Oil burner Ignition Transformers) for the powering of TC's in the past. Now I think I may have come across a source of inexpensive high voltage OBIT's.
Has anyone on the forum used OBIT's before, and if so, which are the ones to stay away from?
Why I ask, is that as inexpensive as these little guys are, why don't we see more of them in construction of the TC's.
