Hi all. Looks like the panel is totally fried on the 32" :( However this also means I now have another four CCFL drivers to play with. :)
Now my new workshop is up and running, as soon as the other TVs are fixed I'll build this beast. So far the basic plan is to use two transformers and secondaries in a push/pull arrangement with each driven by the original driver circuit from the TV. The clever part here is that with multiple drive transformers running in parallel with separate primaries, I can do interesting things with the secondary such as experimenting with multiple drive frequencies at the same time.
It occurs to me that just as a single antenna can transmit multiple wavelengths, so a single TC secondary should be able to resonate at slightly different frequencies if driven by separate primaries, but with the pulse drives offset by half a cycle.
any ideas?
