Your tube looks almost like mine :D This is my tube, lead shield and home made casing for filling it with oil:

1201097824 151 FT37572 1

This tube comes from Phillips BV-22 C-arm. It's a 'scopia' machine, so i think it works at low power but long exposure times. Some time ago I found identical one on ebay, seller wrote that maximum parameters is 90kV and 20mA. My 100kV transformer draws about 10A from 230V while x-raying, so anode current is about 20mA in fact. Filament voltage is abaut 5V.

Here's this tube at work:
1201098415 151 FT37572 Aaa

On top of the tube you can see glass fluorising violet :)

0__o! Beautiful picture, but isn't that somewhat of an X-ray hazard?

Thanks smile It's not hazardous until i'm (and everybody else) sitting behind a few walls, with dosimeter ofcourse. Actually, if i had an Al filter on a tube, it wouldn't be so harmful to even stay in this room for one picture, it's just like getting an x-ray in hospital. But ofcourse it's better to go out if it's possible wink

Very nice! An x-ray of a geiger counter, at a guess!?.
Yes the filaments in tubes are normally run to incandescence like that right enough.

I have observed the same fluorescence I`m my tube as well. Speaking of which, when you come to enclose your tube, if you operate it in the dark, you will find that certain minerals, and ceramics will fluoresce, although nowhere near as bright as screens.

Very nice! I especially like how the geiger tube looks on the center one, pressed metal shapes alway turn out well, and have an almost 3D look to them.

I love radiographing electronic stuff:

1201117224 1134 FT37572 Headphones

Walkman.

Have you ever tried very light things like this:

1201117338 1134 FT37572 Fags

A lighter, and pack of cigarettes.

This was just an experiment, but since it turned out so nice, I printed it positive.
You can even see detail in the filter on the original!

Hi!
I finished rebuilding of x-ray section on my website today. Most of the text is only in polish language (hmm, looks like it's high time to translate something on this website to english tongue), but you can see some interesting pictures and gallery of radiograms wink Hope you'll like that - Link2

VERY nice! I take it your `digital` radiographs are digital photos, of fluorescent screens?
Love your x-ray machine too, it so clean and compact!
