Hi all.
As of this morning, I acquired ANOTHER 32" LCD screen. It looks like the same fault, the power supply is fried and possibly the panel.
Its got two very large flyback-style CCFL inverters to drive the half dozen very large CCFL tubes. I estimate output voltage around 10KV, current in the high mA range or more.
These have Litz style primaries so are very high current capable. Does anyone have any suggested applications for the PCBs or bare transformers?
Answers on a postcard please :) i may be generous and send one or both if you can come up with a use for them if you want to pay the postage.
Additional:- I also have two other LCD's here with similar faults, one powers up with no picture (probably busted panel), the other is deader than Elvis.
regards, -A
