I want to thank Aaron and Hazmatt you guys are the best. Some things I noticed. I have a GFCI transformer and it still works even with a few jumps through the safety gaps :-/ oh well it worked I thought it wasn't suppose to.
Anyways now that its working what works best for capturing my work on cameras? The sparks aren't that bright.

What kind of camera do you have?
If you have one with manual modes, turn the exposure up to a 1/2-2sec, and open the apature all of the way up.
If you have a point/shoot, I would set it for 'fireworks mode' or whatnot, or if it even doesn't have that try holding the shutter button 1/2way down with the coil in the dark (as little light as possible to let the camera focus correctly) and then fire it up and depress it fully.
