Does anyone of you know these modules ?
Are they alvalanche rated?
Exist something like a HV transils which could protect spikes over the 6,5 KV rating?
I have plan to use it for feeding the primary in my new SSTC (I've just conntacted the company and they are calculating the final price - so I let you know wheter my budget can afford it)

Prepare to be seriously demoralized; I'm guessing one of these runs about $2,000 U.S., and lead time is probably something like six months

Uhhh why do you want a 6500V switch for a SSTC? Unless its running off the overhead powerlines, that IGBT is about 1000 times bigger than what you might ever need. Throwing a bigger IGBT at a design that sucks still means the design sucks(hint hint).
Anyway, i doubt you can afford them as they will easily exceed $1k each in price.

Heh... 'Course you'd say that about SGTC's too, Steve But I certainly agree about this: A 6.5kV brick in an otherwire "normal" SSTC would bring new meaning to "overkill".

Mates: If you're looking for some HV silicon that won't totally break the bank (but is still very non-cheap), you might investigate the Powerex QIS4506001 and QIS4506002. These are discrete IGBTs for 4.5kV, and in low volumes can be gotten for ~$175. I haven't played with them myself, but have wondered about them from time to time. The package does not include antiparallel diode.
