Peter has made page 3 of the Metro - the most widely circulated free paper in the UK available on national public transport.

See the article here Link2

Nice one

I was interviewed by a journo from Barcoft media who got it there and hopes to get it into a "men's" magazine as well. I sent over 60meg of high res photos and charged her $10. That works out at .0006 cents per view assuming every one of the 1.7 million readers opens the first page.
The article on page 3 was almost full page and not bad as they go. Particularly for an expected time to read the paper being 20 mins to fit in with the bus/train use.
I can't work out if I displaced some buxom page 3 girl - or is that the Sun newspaper?

I am still relatively unknown in my home town which is the way to keep it i think.

Is it because you don't want to becomea tourist attraction to the people who live in your town? Oh, and congrats, on making all kinds of head lines and not just on HV communitys!

My place is hardly likely to be a tourist attraction. It is at the end of a dead end street and the house can't be seen from the road.
The main reason is that I don't want too much attention from the authorities. I have had one visit from the Dept of Energy safety and don't want another. Perhaps 90% of the stuff I do breaks some sort of rules, electrical/laser/x-ray/radioactive/RF emission/noise pollution etc.
I may change that attitude later but might have to tidy some things up and set up a clandestine "pirate" site away from home to run some of my stuff.

$10.00? Geesh.
I just got a $500.00 check for a TV producer for a high res version of my youtube Smoke Ring generator video.

That would have been the same TV producer from California who wanted to use mine but my high res smoke ring video was on my older machine and not really up to broadcst standard.
I really must redo it on better equipment.
Well done. Perhaps I should cut my price down to $5.

At present my Videocam is better but my processes and web program are poor. I am planning a significant improvement to my software and hope to ramp up my video both on my site and YouTube.

And I need a higher powered smoke machine. Let the Smoke Wars begin ......

I'm looking forward to the epic light saber battle between TDU and EVR.

"My smoke ring video is better than yours!"
"You're not my father... Ahhh! Noooo!"
Bzzz... Swish...

No, this is from a producer from Canada. I did get contacted by the guy from California, but still working on some details.

I just bought a house, so i now have total room to build a monster smoke ring generator.

I anticipate smoke rings powerful enough to reach Australia !!! heh heh

I've been practicing with a new model, too. Sorry about the hole in the Ozone layer, it was a wild shot that went south while looking for a circumpolar route to get you in the back while you're not looking.
