But, you've done a great work with wood, really. It's a professional quality. Although, two small things gets my attention. Hings.. in my opinion they shouldn't be embeded so deeply in wood. Second thing is heart. Well, I guess it's about tastes, but it look for me a bit childish. I think that facts you put a lot of effort and the whole box looks very good would be enough for you girlfriend to do oh!'s and ah!'s :P

Hings.. in my opinion they shouldn't be embeded so deeply in wood.
For those hinges I needed to embed them far enough so that the top would lay flush. My sides were less than 1/4" and couldn't find a small-enough hidden hinge so square hinges worked well. Can you believe the set was $26 USD??
