After some calculations i now know that i had around 50A and more than 18700VA, yes 18.7KVA floating through that coil, and that with el cheapo caps. And to reduce stress on the tank cap you can hook several in parallel.
At the end of the vid u can see i push in the center of the coil as the plastic was so hot that is was all soft, so theres your proof that you don´t need expensive caps.

I don't know. I guess my goal is really reliability compared to power. I'd rather have something small that I could run forever inside a nice little box, then spaghetti that could melt a 4-iron. If spending money on caps once is what it takes then I'll try it.
