Hi guys, I have one idea I'd like to discuss. For SSTC you all prefer FET trans because of the switching speed. However I have an idea of lowering the demands on transistor switching freq twice and still keep the same resonant freq of the coil.
Scheme:
.........................Primary ____TR1-A____ ____I_______TR2-A_______ I___TR1-
B____I............I____TR2-B____I
(ignore the dots)
Driving
TR1-A __---___________________________
TR2-A _______________---______________
TR1-B________---
______________________
TR2-
B________________________---______
Do you have somebody an idea how to elegantly drive four transistors in this manner ?

Flip-flop, or 74139 decoder.

This doesnt really help the switching frequency issue but does spread the power over more devices. The switching frequency is really referring to the shortest period between switch transitions.
