As many of you know, I'm travelling to England to attend the Cambridge Teslathon. As I want this to be a sort-of vacation too, I'm staying in England for just under a week, from Thursday the 25th to Tuesday the 30th of October. I have not planned the trip yet, except for the Teslathon on the Saturday/Sunday, and I'm looking for interesting things to do on the Friday and Monday. Anyone have any good ideas? Any interesting places to see or museums to visit in the Cambridge area?
Also, if anyone feels like joining me in whatever I end up doing on those two days, don't be afraid to ask, it would be nice with some company.

That's right. I just found out yesterday, they're taking them out on the Friday afternoon. They are impacted, so it's going to be a fairly serious operation, and I don't much fancy travelling to England the next day. Drinking whisky through a straw, maybe

Well, I've just been given a brace for my crooked front teeth that makes it difficult to eat, so I have lots of soup recipes anyway. :P They're going to sedate me, and apparently I won't remember a thing afterwards. I'll need to leave myself a note on the fridge saying "Your face hurts because you had your wisdom teeth taken out" :P
Anyway, Anders, you should go to London and see the Science Museum, or the Tate Modern, or just see London if you haven't been there before. It's not that far from Cambridge.

I remember having my two wisdom teeth being taken out. (I guess I still have two) It was going to take 2 hours of hammer, chisel and drill work in the chair. Now I'm no chicken but two hours sounded like more than a koala could bear. So I took Naproxen 500mg, oxazepam 15mg, Paracetamol 1000mg and codeine 16mg. I think I smiled my way through and my wife drove me home.
The really cool part about that dentist was his waiting room. In the middle of it he had a glass enclosed beehive. The bees would enter through a tube to the outside. Really fascinating watching bees at work closeup. TDU

they took my wisdom teeth out when i was 14 years old. in an accident (i think i´ve bitten on a bone or so) i lost 2 teeth, one on each side. so they took out the wisdom teeth and implanted them to replace the broken ones. that was a really serious operation and i had to wait 4 weeks between both operations (one on the left side, the other on the right, due to blod loss etc, i dont want to go into detail) but the result was great. the young wisdom tooth grew like a new tooth and after a few months its a brand new one and fully functional without any glue or metal or fixation. it was a unique try and it worked great. i read about it and was impressed. you can freeze in, unused wisdom tooth until you need a new one that can be replaced by it.
