Hi,
I'm working with a flyback topologie HV SMPS for corona discharge gap. I dont know if the output is AC or DC. The output is suppose to be at 20kV and my scope meter doesn't support that kind of voltage. I need to know the output power and voltage. Anybody know what king of measurement equipment I can use? I used a regular voltmeter with a probe, but it doesn't give the right voltage. Also, about the ground, should I use the ground of the SMPS or the measurement equipment?

Well, you know that its AC if the flyback is the old kind with disc or cylinder shaped secondary coil. If the flyback is the new type usually with black case and potted in epoxy (and usually with additional knobs) then you can be sure its DC.
If you connect a needle to the output and do not have any ground nearby, then if you see a clearly visible discharge from the needle this also says your flyback is AC.
