Just a note for Canadian viewers to keep an eye out for the Canadian
Discovery Channel, Daily Planet which will include different 5 minute
segments on my stuff on this coming Tuesday (Sept 4th) and next Tuesday
(Sept 11th).
They hired a local video crew in April for the 15 hours and shot over 3
hours of video to make this. Interviews were done via phone link. It will be
titled Australian Electricity 1 and 2.
Highlights include the car thief protection, 18 inch coil, sparks onto me in
the pool, effects of electricity on the body, can crushing, smoke ring
generator etc. I haven't seen the finished product yet. They seemed
enthusiastic about it - enough to do a third shoot last weekend.
Depending how it goes it may be syndicated elsewhere.
If someone can get me a copy of the shows on DVD, I would be grateful and
can reimburse expenses.

Heck it's not Broadway but it's not my day job either...

Here are the 4 segments now complete. Note that I can't put them directly on my site for copyright reasons. If you have a normal speed broadband only then perhaps look at segment 4.

Session 1 5:14 mins shown Sept 4, 2007 in Canada and rescreened in Feb 2008. Includes smoke rings, electric shocks, capacitor discharges and sparks in the pool. Needs fast broadband link to run.

Session 2 3:45 mins shown Sept 11, 2007 in Canada. Includes capacitor discharges, big TC construction. Needs fast broadband link to run.

Session 3 5 mins shown Nov 21, 2007 in Canada. Includes the big TC in a big domed building. Runs with normal broadband.

Session 4 5 mins shown Dec 20, 2007 in Canada. About the Tesla Christmas tree. If you are in Canada (only) you can watch it here. Runs with normal broadband.

i just hear of this and so i did a bit of googleing. it seems i have no chance of getting to see it. :( the CTV website says "SORRY! You can't play the CTV Broadband Channel videos in your country. "

i'm sure only canadians are going to see this unless someone makes a recording.

too bad i'm minutes to late to prep some peeps for that. :((

I don't think it happened actually but I was just relaying what the producer gave me. There was a last minute scrabble for personal and location releases that they had lost so it may have been bumped. It's a nice time to find out that your work fax doesn't do international calls at 3am when you go in especially to do that.
Fortunately I have a camera so I sent them all as photo images in an email.

Only Canadian based ISP's can access the website with the footage.

Yeah I saw you too! Very professional indeed. Is there more than one segment of you? Because they only really showed the car thief protection and burning the steel wool with your cap bank. At the beginning they said "you remember peter...", so I think that maybe I missed your first segment on the 4th.

Interesting that it was on as hadn't heard any reaction otherwise. So maybe it was on on the 4th. Or maybe it was shifted and will be out of sequence. Whatever.
The other segment had me in the pool and also the smoke rings and some electric shock stuff if I recall.

Thanks for looking out for it.
