So I am in the final assembly phase of my coil....
So I have some more to work on... main concern is I won't be able to get a decent spark from just 9 turns on the primary.... I'll probably run some more copper tube in and solder it all together. I can put 14 turns in my current coil form.
It's 1/2" HDPE (cutting board). the top strip and the bottom part are held together with nylon thumb screws, the coil lays in loose on the form, but the top (cap?) holds everything in place really well, so I'm happy with that.
Here is my toroid:
Does that look spark worthy?? I used a lot of Aluminum tape and I'm concerned about the adhesive and layers of tape building up some weird stray capacitance - can that happen?
Any other advice, critique, comments, suggestions are greatly appreciated and welcomed.

The insides are:
12/30 NST with a static spark gap (ATM just a single gap, making a blown multi-gap soon) I've got a terry filter and a CDE 942 based MMC I needed to work with it... .01uF / 30kv.
all my pics are in:
thanks for the help and inspiration - first light pics soon :)
