Where the heck do you find time to do these projects, I'm only 17 and already got problems to find time for my new drsstc. But it's great to see another musical coil build. Are you going to post the schematics for the audio modulation? Maybe I'll start a toppic of my drsstc build next week.

So MIDI driven, like PWM? I want to try this with mine when i figure out my microcontroller, since it's a pretty easy ad-on the the interrupter. Even though the quality's nowhere near as good as amplitude modulated CW, it is so much cooler when the music is accompanied by 5 foot streamers instead of a tiny plasma flame.
BTW I'm 17 as well, and I plan to take full advantage of my spare time this summer on my hv stuff
Still on the list: -Finish up DRSSTC -Audio modulate it -ZVS flyback driver -Coilgun?
I'm sure I'm not the only one with a list like this!

The MIDI is to play music through the coil, so i guess in a way its just a fancy PWM.
Chris, where are you storing all of these coils?
Anyway, that should be really sweet . How many amps can you supply at 240V? Im wondering how you are gonna power up the TC orchestra with all these BIG coils!
