Something between 1 to 5 kilojoules is enough for me, could you guys tell me where to get cap which survives this kind of use? It would be nice to find one in europe but USA is okay too (it just takes longer to ship..)

IMO it's not realistical to ship heavy (tens of kilos per cap) caps overseas, be prepared to pay something like hundreds of euros for the shipping.

The only place I know that sells suitable capacitors is these guys. Pretty expensive though. You can sometimes find them on ebay. Shipping would be a killer to Finland.

Shipping is not actually big problem, i got few friends who are buying lots of car parts (and whole cars) from USA. They are using big shipping countainers. There is room for several killer capacitors :)

Well then here you go. I would buy these if I had spare money lying around.

I'm sure those caps aren't too different to what Mike Harrison has in his Destruct-o-tron. It can just about shrink coins.

I might have something for you, check your PMs. They are the capacitors used by our railgun-guru Thomas here Link2 (the text is in german, but the caps are the gray "cans" on the pictures)

They are quite small, but since you are not looking for a moster capacitor, they might jsut be right for you.

PS: I saw your CNC mill video on youtube, is that your own mill or is it at work? What kind of projects do you use it for?
