That is a cut and polished metiorite from space, stony iron looking, maybe pallasite.

OH, I see it now, it is a block of metal, not a piece of glass/plastic. Interesting find, how big is it? From the past ones I've seen the rocks are very small, so that is like 1" square...

It's an Esquel Pallisite, the sample there is probably 20mm x 20mm ish.
