Suppose you make a remote interuptor and you run both the power (+\-) and the pulses produced, how long could the wire be without causing issues. or can it even be done with out complex circuitry?

I suppose lenght doesn't matter as long as the pulses are strong enough at the other end to trigger the device the interrupter is controlling. Just as long as the conductors resistance isn't too high any lenght will work (atleast if the pulses aren't high frequency, when the wires inductance starts to matter).
Now, when you add rf-interference to the play((DR)SSTCs), shorter is better (and shielding even better).

Sure you can. My handheld interrupter box uses a 9-way cable to run the interrupter signal, as well as 15V power for the interrupter circuit, and PLL tuning and DC bus voltage adjustment signals too. So the coil can be completely controlled from the interrupter box.
I optoisolated the interrupter signal, and RC filtered all the other signals, and used a 9-core shielded cable (actually a 5 meter serial port extension lead from a computer store)
The schematics that show how I wired it all up are here

Then can someone explain, Why is it that when i only have, say 1 foot my 4 conductor telephone line I can get good square waves and no problems, but when I use say the 6 feet or line that I wanna use I can still get +9v and gnd at the interrupter but the 555 starts to heat up, and the wave forms are all screwed up even right out of pin 3?
