Just FYI.
Due to the surge of flyback projects I thought I'd go do a little work on the wiki's flyback section. It's far from finished, and there's still a lot of work I can personally do, but I just wanted folks to know it's there. Also, somebody may want to read it and fill in the holes (in my head LOL); it seems like we answer this stuff continually and we could just put it in the wiki once.
The ZVS/Mazilli heading especially needs help 'cause not too many people (including myself) are intimate with it's workings. Most of the stuff in the the "talk" was just to remind me what needed to be put in there, but hey if you're willing to answer it... It doesn't even have to look good, I'll come clean it up.
Thanks -Part Scavenger
Aw crap, I totally forgot we have a Wiki board. Sorry mods.

could someone add or tell me (and i will add) to the ZVS section about the component specifications for example: 47-200uh (a recent thread said iron core is most suitable) 0.68uf bipolar (must be good? what exactly does this infer? a particular type of capacitor?) wattage of 470 ohm 10k resistors? (i assume 1/4 watt since they relate to gate drive) wattage of 100 ohm resistors for modification? (high wattage resistors?) current ratings for the high speed diodes?

I found that using any cap 0.1uf or higher is ok, and adding more caps (in parallel to over 2uf) wont change the appearance of the arc at all, it probably has an effect electrically, but I have no scope to be sure.
You could add info from my schematics on the page it is much cleaner I think but I do think it could use a little help. here is the schematic (its PDF)
