I have maybe 40 1000V 80A ultra fast rectifiers and was thinking of making a voltage multiplier running off the 240 line and a bunch of these to step up the voltage to maybe 4KV at a hole lot of amps has it been done? can it be done? I have only been building solid state so I don't know the possibilities. The only SGTC I built was with a DC fly-back and that wasn't that good. Any suggestions?
