Hi all. These pesky 60N05 transistors have blown in my 100W inverter. Does anyone happen to have some spares they can, uhm, spare? :)
they are n channel enhancement mode MOSFETs, 50A 60V apparently, with the standard pinout. Hopefully the drive IC is OK but now I know what failed (one shorted out to the case due to pierced insulator) i can do something about it.

The IRFZ44 has similar ratings, and is very common. The power dissipation is a bit lower, but unless your inverter is pushing these MOSFETs to the limit, I don't think it will be a big problem.

Thanks :) I tested the inverter with some cheap-and-nasty 6n60's and it did work although they got very hot. Will try and find some of the BUZ series (i think i saw some in my spares box)
It looks like using properly insulated MOSFETs is the best bet with this beast- unfortunately the metal case and case screw are badly placed, right next to one of them.
Would putting two such FETs in parallel help to lower the stress on each, or is this a waste of time? the plan is to slightly overrun this thing (120W or so) for testing various items.
