The Plasmasonic Subwoofer system is near complete and almost ready to post videos and photos. Basically, its a DRSSTC placed in a high order bandpass enclosure for maximum bass. The processor which controls the DRSSTC basically samples the incoming CD signal and then filters out the fundamental bass frequency, which it then converts to modulated input which activates the DRSSTC. Volume is controlled via pulsewidth.
The subwoofer is used in conjuction with the stereo pair of 2nd Generation Plasmasonic coils I have.
The system is pretty damn sweet and initial tests sound awesome!!!

There is excellent sound quality from the Plasmasonic coils.
However, the subwoofer is still just a DRSSTC and the only sound you get is the sound of the PRF frequency coming through, hardly anything near to what the original sound was on the CD. Its just adds a highly distorted bass component to the entire system.

Ahh, ok. Well im sure that can still be very cool with the right type of music. I know a few people who have been composing (or decomposing) music specifically for tesla coil use. Using a DRSSTC with some bandpass on it seems like a pretty good idea for getting impressive (loud!) base tones.
