I've known about RSS feeds for a long time, but I've never really cared to use them. After all, I can just go to the host website, right? Not quite... I have started to use them recently, and boy are they handy. Your RSS feed reader automatically loads new headlines for you, and you can browse through them and read articles at your leisure, without the distractions found on the main site. Better yet, everything is consistant. Everything is styled the same way, and the search function works the same way for every feed — no learning how to use each site's badly implemented search tool. Furthermore, with a good client, keeping track of important articles and articles you plan on reading is easy. If you need to keep track of a lot of sites, RSS feeds are the answer. So given my newfound love for this technology, I'd like to share it. I have a list of tech related feeds that people here might be interested in. If you're an RSS feeder, tell us what you read, and I'll add it to the list. Perhaps this will eventually make its way to the wiki. Computers — F-Secure Antivirus Research Weblog — OSNews OSS & Linux — KernelTrap - Your source for current kernel news — SourceForge.net: SF.net Project News: SourceForge.net Site News (including full news text) — SourceForge.net: Front page news — **link** Archives — LinuxDevices.com — Linux.com — Linux Gazette — Linux Journal — FSF - News — What's New at GNU — Free Software Programs — Linux Magazine: Top Stories — DistroWatch.com: News — Handhelds.org Electronics & HV — 4hv.org : News — Spark Fun Electronics General Science & Tech — Engadget — Gizmodo — Ars Technica — Spark Fun Electronics — Hacked Gadgets — Make Blog Humor — xkcd.com — Worse Than Failure — Extremely Funny 3 jokes a day from Derek (Extreme Electronics)' own collection — Extremely Funny 3 pictures a day from Derek (Extreme Electronics)' own collection — Extremely Funny 3 limericks a day from Derek (Extreme Electronics)' own collection Photography — scopeboy (Steve Conner)'s photoblog If you'd like to add a feed to the list, give me the main site's url, a description, and the RSS feed url. It would be really helpful if you could provide it in the format that I am using:
[url=<rss url>][/url]   —   [url=<main site url>]<description>[/url]
The space between ../../ and e107_files should not be there. e107's bbcode parser puts it there, and there's nothing I can do about it. ...there also appears to be one in the last url tag.
