When I access the site with opera, most of the buttons (reply, start new thread...) are not displayed. That is, actually they flash up for a second when the page loads, but then they dissapear again. I guess that this is just because Opera is a stupid browser, but maybe you can still do something about it?

I'm using Opera as well, but everything works fine for me, except for the member map. Which version of Opera are you using? I'm on 7.54.

I'm on 8.5, maybe it's too new?

I am posting this from Opera 8.51. I'm not having any problems. Perhaps you have something set incorrectly?

When I'm using a cgi-proxy to skirt the firewall at work I get exactly the same thing Joe Doh is describing, but in IE.

The page loads, the buttons show up, then IE freezes for a few seconds, and when it unlocks the buttons are all missing. This only seems to affect the red 'new post' indicators on the forum index, and the small buttons in profiles and around threads, like the PM, quote, and delete buttons. The Post Reply, New Thread, and preview buttons aren't affected. Some screwy browser settings maybe?

Dave

No problems here, using latest Opera. Try fiddling with "Max Connections" and "Max total connections" in the Network settings of Opera.

I have the same problem with Opera 8.52. The images actually flash for a few ms and the disappear.

However I found the solution: You can either disable Java Script totally which is no good but you can also change Opera from identifiying as IE to identifying as Opera. After that things worked like a charm! amazed

I'm posting this from Opera 8.5.2. I changed it to identify as Opera and it works fine. Thanks Sebastian smile
