I have been testing some GE 42L3562 snubber capasitors (.68u 2000v). Eastern Reserch has said that the 42L series caps are a resonable substitute for the Cornell Dubilier 942C series. The problem is that I am having truble finding a relieable source for 942C series other than Richarson Electronics and finding a data sheet for the GE caps that will tell me what the di/dt rating and ESR is. Has any body have expierience with the GE caps and or a link to a decent data sheet and or a sorurce for 942C caps. Even A third manufacturer off snubber caps would be good. Thanks N.B.

From what ive seen, they can only take about 1/2 the peak current of a similar CDE 942C model capacitor (due to the GE being only *metalized* film and NO foil). Just be sure to mind the peak current rating and you should be ok.
