Paper on New Graphite Based Field Emission Concepts

 		I found an interesting paper that describes some novel FE cathode concepts. On page 47 of the document begins a discussion of an emitter made from a graphene film with holes in it, and on page 65 begins a discussion of an emitter made from carbonized cork:

I also found an abstract of a paper entitled "[f]ield electron emission from pencil-drawn cold cathodes" which sounds interesting, but I unfortunately can't find the full text paper anywhere:
