Hmm, plant pot, reminiscent of the Brainiac TV series. I wonder if the lucky guy in the flip flops could sue had it splashed the other way.

Next question, what were they expecting to happen when it dribbled onto the (car?!?) "battery"?

Thats what I was wondering, Whats with the lead acid battery? I've seen pure thermite blow up and out ten times that with pure ingedients, they were all asking to lose faces... angry

well, its the same reason you don't throw water on burning Mg. Aluminium reacts in much the same way, as it wants to oxidize rapidily, its going to take the oxygen from the ice and bond with that which is a rapid reaction. Then you have for each O molecule bonding, 2H, so the Hydrogen combusts with an explosion too.

Yep, brainiac car-frying was a good video, but this amazed

If that wasn't ice all around they would be in trouble extinguishing the fire O_O

Not a very good video, but shows how could those guys end if thermite was better...
