Intriguing, there's a possibility that Tesla's fireballs if they existed may have been generated with a method like this.
Also having actually seen (albeit on digital camera later) a BL candidate and investigated one appearing in someone's house it appears that they can have very strange properties indeed.

To be able to make something like this in the lab is an incredible feat of engineering, and if it can be applied to fusion we might yet see a reactor at every gas station to charge all the electric vehicles.
