Hi all.

Huh, antlered lion! going Downunder amazed ..

I`m making plans for a trip to Australia next year, and was wondering if somebody has some MUST SEE ideas for me?

I`ll stay in Australia for a year, on a Working Holiday. Most in the Sydney area, but i will take some trips around this HUGE continent.

Plans so far:

Must see Great Berrier Reef!!

Sydney Opera House(just because it`s a Dane who designed it cheesey )

And see a duckbill, the worlds most remarkable animal amazed .

Go backpacking a month or 2..

This country is so big that i can`t see it all in one year!!!

What about Tesla stuff? some BIG coils perhaps? (Tesla Downunder, you must know something smile )

Cheers, Daniel

You gotta see me, me! Me! I'm a MUST SEE eyesore.

And then I can pimp my 13.56MHz coil to you, but I assure you, it's not as impressive as a big coil. ^^

I am only a few thousand Km away on the west side of Australia but feel free to drop in. You will be only the second Tesla coiler ever to do so. We can give you a roof over your head while you are here.
There is a decent coil in a museum in Melbourne but I wouldn't travel just to see that. Just enjoy the country, meet the locals and have a good time.

I lived in Oz for ten years...and I'll never forget the almost otherworldly smell of a gum-tree forest..

If it's your kind of thing, pay the obligatory respect to the big cities, but try to spend as much time as possible in the bush..desert, tropics or forest. There's nothing else quite like it on the planet!

Suggestions:

  • 1. Mungo national park
    2. East Gippsland
    3. Kangaroo Island
    4. Tasmania
    5. Great Ocean Road
    6. Any wine-growing region
    7. Murray-Darling
    8. the Grampians
    9. the Blue Mountains
    10. Perth & Freemantle
    11. Kakadu
    12. the Red Centre (Alice Springs, Uluru, etc.. best not in summer)
    13. Cape York
    14. .........etc.

Sweet amazed

BP and Peter, it would be awesome if can meet some aussie coilers amazed

But Peter, a few thousand Km confused that`s really far cheesey, remember I live in Denmark, 300Km is a lot here cheesey

Yes WaveRider, thats what I like!! The thing with Australia is, that the animals and landscape is so special than any other place in the world.

It will be the biggest and best adventure in my life( I think )

I`m leaving Denmark just before christmas next year, so no christmas with the family...But what the heck, i`ll bet i get something to eat anyway.

Daniel
