I designed a half-bridge circuit for driving a gate drive transformer with overcurrent protection using a current sense transformer, external current meter, and external disable. The external disable works by shorting two pins which can be done by an optoisolator if desired. I also added a spot for a regulator on the board.
I had the board made, and I am testing it now. So far it seems to be working, but I am waiting on a few components to finish it. When I'm done with it I'll release the Gerber files. It uses all through-hole components for easy assembly. I shrank it to less than 10 by 10 cm so it called be made for $5 at Seeedstudio (but the shipping costs more than this).
