Hi all I need some advice. I cant get a OPF 2412 T fiber receiver in my country but found a OPF 2416 T(OPTEK). IT looks like it is an AC receiver. Can I use this or not ,and if I can will somebody help me with a circuit . I looked at the datasheet but it makes no sense to me . Thanks all help will be appreciated ]opf2416t_2bbdb1475c.pdf[/file]

check this out:
in my case i got an OPF 2414 and with the circuit from the link above it works (at least on the bench) and i think it will work for you also i replaced the voltage divider from comparator "-" input with a trim pot for better adjustment of the threshold voltage
