hey gang,

I was wondering if someone could either make or point me in the right direction of an overly simplified diagram of a DRSSTC coil. One that has a flat primary winding coil. I haven't been able to find one online and I am trying to make a graphic art depiction of it. Below are some pictures of exactly what I'm looking at doing, but I believe they are of regular (not DRSS) tesla coil diagrams:

thanks in advance!

01001011,
The schematic of a DRSSTC would take up the better part of your back, here is an example:

01001011,

From what I understand about tesla coils what you are asking for is kind of contradictory.

The diagram that you show is a basic spark gap tesla coil (SGTC). A spark gap coil (to my understanding) is a DR coil in that the primary and secondary are in resonance with each other ie dual resonance (DR).

A DRSSSTC (at a minimum) has a shitload more parts than a SGTC. Simplifying it to the degree that would make for a clean, graphically beautiful diagram would pretty much destroy the meaning of the image

In my opinion.

Cheers.

If you were to build a SGTC, build the tattooed one, not either of the schematics!
