I recently built the simplest Plasma Tweeter I could think of that could avhieve a large enough magnitude of output modulation to be visuallynresoonsive to the music.
It sounds much great in person despite the video (and the song in the video is heavy on it's use of distortion effects).
I am wondering however where each ground (earth, the coil/modulation circuit, and audio-in ground) should be connnected to avoid current flowing if the coils chassis connects to the chassis of the audio input device. Also, as a technical question (ie - not planning to implement), is it possible to do so without an isolation transformer in the case of using of using rectified/delon-doubled mains to power something?
