Hi all,
I've been reading a lot about magnetic pulse compression lately and am interested in having a play around. The only problem is that nearly every example / resource I find uses magnetic material fashioned from unobtainium, most likely costing a fortune. I'm not quite ready to take the plunge just to satisfy my curiosity!
I spent some time trawling over the RS/Farnell websites to find something that might be suitable; it seems that a square BH loop is the key to decent performance ( Couldn't really see anything that comes close to the Metglas cores.
If someone could suggest any ferrites I could source in the UK, without breaking the bank, and that might show a reasonable performance in an MPC application then I'd be very grateful.
