Modularity vs Synergy
Modularity makes it simple to assemble a system, but afterwards it must be woven together and simplified. The original module assembly must be kept as well for future development. Problems arise however when you convert a non modularized simplified object into a new module of its own. You might have to go back into the inner workings of the object for updates...
Example...
Two modules ... 2x + 3x Synergy... 5x
but with synergy you cant rearrange modules, its set in stone...
It's like math.. simplifying a formula makes it more efficient, but you can no longer see where the formula came from
