Hello guys!
I'm currently running the Uzzors Induction Heater:
Mine runs at 70Khz and draws 7A @ 200v from mains. (Now I'm using IRFP460N half-bridge with some DSEK 60-06A 35ns diodes bypassing the slow internal diodes). And using a IR2184 to drive a half-bridge of IRF540N that then drives a GDT (Little different from the famous UCCs, but was what I got in hands now, and works pretty well)
I dont't really know the relationship between the current being drawn from mains and the inverter output current (That is what matters).
Now I'm getting around 1600w With this setup without problems, my waveforms are pretty good (will post some photos later). But I think that I'm near on the limits of that switches (At least they don't get even warm with 10mins of run)
I got some IRGP4650DPBF
Are them good? 120ns is the trr of internal diode... is there necessity for bypassing them? How much power do you guys believe that I can get with them?

I think they should work pretty good. I used my irfp 460 at 400v to 18amp. I can even melt metal with them,So I think you should do pretty good with the bigger switches.

18A on the DC (Supply) or being measured on the output of the half bridge with a current probe?
Right now, I'm measuring the current running at 110v DC with a small load on the workcoil and the numbers are:
6,34A on supply and "30A" on the half-bridge output (Measuring it with a small ferrite with 47 turns with a 47ohm burden, so If I'm right, this shows 1v for each 1A on the output) this "30A" is being measured peak-to-peak on the scope.. Is it right?
