Ive been advised that the CDE 942 series caps are a little bit of an overkill for a DRSSTC due to less voltage and fewer spikes etc than a SGTC.

What alternatives are there that i can use and find with relative ease at a much lower price?

CDE940 is well known CDE942 alternative.
