Link2 Donate if you see fit, Im not wanting to spam or be obnoxious about funding. (Id be grateful though smile )
Ive finally figured out how to generate false color NDVI images, and there looking good, as seen below.

1423456357 2431 FT1630 Ib 5 Color Scale
False color NDVI. The alternating black and white is 0-ish to -1, indicating no photosynthetic process underway. The 0.1 (cyan) to +1(magenta) indicates varying degrees of measurable photosynthesis. Anything magenta is suspiciously high. The measure is dimensionless due to division of the same units.

1423469480 2431 FT1630 Rgb 5
Normal RGB pic .

1423469480 2431 FT1630 Ib 5
"Infra-blue" pic. A term I dont like. this HD camera had its IR filter carefully chiseled out with a razor and screwdriver, then a blue gel filter took its place. this effectively reassigns the IR channel to the red channel.

You can also see that more uniform lighting is essential. Like fighter pilots i try to keep the sun at my back.

I plan to make more over-flights of the crop fields at Shasta College, but were in the middle of a huge storm of rain and wind. I want, in particular to see the effects of false-returns, look at the barn door for instance. I also have new parts coming in the mail too. Please watch the video and youll see some of what im planning to demonstrate. There's a pond on campus which the Natural Sciences department uses. it has two pools, turtles, fish, algae and plants. So ill be sending the dipper into that as a "proof-of-capability" flight.

Im planning to fly a wireless router soon, and a cell phone repeater, perhaps at Shasta Lake. High-speed data transmission downward into hills and mountains maybe worthy of investigation, and of value to YouTube or Verizon.

EDIT: Im trying to figure out how to setup a router without an internet connection. But i cant remember the last time Ive dealt with router settings. Ill be using the Cisco Valet M10 as i deem it expendable. I'd like to try a directional antenna pointing downwards, in a wide cone, but that'll be done way down the line.

EDIT: Im thinking the barn door is green (its white to humans) becuase it refelcts IR+R+G+B alot. While the red paint surrounding it reflects IR+Red but absorbs green and blue. This leaves red paint like gravel with a low NDVI number.

EDIT: These router settings are killing my brain.

This hover bike has been around since 1995-ish and the big red saucer one too. I just dont see the delivery of pizza as a useful effort. At my local hobby-fabrication and aerodrome we are seeing moore's law for computers at about 6-8 months instead of 18 months. The Chinese are flooding the consumer market to the point where I think American makers will be few and far between, they're just so cheap... Its getting so scary with the Chinese, that what took an ace pilot, 600$ and enormous custom setup, now comes working right out of the box, almost idiot proof and working. Its scary what the Chinese can do.

My business model is for business-to-business market and business-to-government through service contract. The drone never needs to be purchased, operated or maintained by the end-user, they get the senor data they purchased. In this way, as with the cell phone/contract, we are mitigating the financial exposure for both parties.

The cell phone is expensive, but of little value without connection. The drone is expensive, but its the capability the end-user wants. The drone need not be bought.
