Hello, at university i am working on laser stabilization system. Only CMOS camera with global shutter availablefrom distributors can work at 210FPS 10b 1280x1024 resolution. That is around 328MBps of data. I have Visual basic program, how to get data at that speed, but it looks like it will not be able to process it, not even talking about displaying it (well, it looks like if i go this way, FPGA will do all processing, since processing code can be disassembled into single stream from PCK point of view)
Question is, how can i display data at high speed, with ability to capture it, as example to RAM, like 1s or more, because visual basic is very slow with graphics (assembling BMP from data and displaying it) double while() BMP.SetPixel(x, y, Color.FromArgb((i * 8) And 255, (i * 18) And 255, (i * 6) And 255)) end while PictureBox1.Image = BMP
I have USB3.0 FX3 devkit for data capturing in slave fifo mode, or at least that is idea

have you tried a high speed DAQ like the ones made for labview?

do you have more info about your system? depending on your configuration you could sample the beam off at two places with microscope cover slides at a small angle (there are quartz ones as well as MgF2 ones I think) and then use them in a small michelson to reduce the needed bandwidth
many things could be done for stabilizing a laser which will depend on the cavity itself
You probably don't need to display at 210FPS since the monitor doesn't update at that rate. For high processing speeds I'd use several concurrent threads, each thread processing a single frame. Maybe using C would aso help.
