Hi all. I invented this term for scientific discoveries that have been either reinvented, ignored, lost or suppressed by mainstream science and/or academia.
Many examples such as : Sellotape X-rays invented in Russia around 1977 SiC LED invented by Vladimir Losev and then lost due to the siege of Leningrad Low temperature superconductivity patented by Tesla around 1900 and then lost in lab fire Graphene discovered multiple times and evidence back to early EL devices using graphite electrodes High temperature superconductivity actually transiently observed in 1988 to 240K by two different teams Ruby and nitrogen TEA lasers invented by Tesla shortly after 1902 and lost in lab fire Tunnel diode (Esaki) was actually seen as early as 1895 but not understood as a smaller effect in galena (PbS) Memristors (see galena again, also CuS and other related metal sulphides used for radio) Microbiome therapy used by many rabbit/cavy owners to treat sick animals since the early 1900s without knowing why it worked.
Feel free to add to this list.
Possible additions include: LENR although controversial, 20 year old unpublished research used in latest efforts. Also reports of classified LENR patents in EU, UK and America possibly explaining why Rossi had to wait until they had expired. See
EDIT:
Looks like ITER is about to get the cold shoulder it deserves in favour of a better, smaller and more efficient technology.
