Interesting stuff but actually, all they have done is crack NH3 to H2 which is easy. To get H2 from propane needs a couple more steps- the reaction of propane and steam to give H2 and CO then oxidation of the CO to CO2 to avoid human toxicity and also poisoning the fuel cell catalyst.
This won't be running your lap-top any time soon.

Anyway, that's all very clever, but where does the propane come from?

Selective systems are theoretically immune to poisoning.

Besides, renewable energy like the potato powered web server already went into service: Link2

He claims he gets 15mA at 0.8V out of a potato, he has 5 potatoes. That is about 0.06W. The low power version of the 386 processor uses something like 0.8W alone. In addition he has EPROMs, RAM and a three port network adapter with termination resistors.

He is not running it off potato power.

Maybe it could work but you would need hundreds rather than few potatoes cheesey Potato batteries may be improved by using wider pieces of copper and zinc and placing them more closely for more current, or use lemons as they are better conductors.

Anyway it's far from powering up a computer, even 386 cheesey

Been enough offtopic..
