okay, yesterday i made a few decisions about a pulse width modulated interrupted solid state teslacoil for high fidelity audio plasma speaker, but it ended way too complicated to finish by me, i would need several isstcs and a very good equalizer to get a decent sound quality ,new way to get real music etc out of a isstc but its not worth the effort at the moment . now i thought about amplitude modulating the input voltage of a bridge of mosfets driven by the secondary frequency. i dont like Fm modulated sstcs cause the fres of the secondary must be very high to give a decent quality and the volume is like a headphone so i wanted to test some things out for a really loud and high quality audio sstc system. has anyone tried to amplitude modulate a sstc or is it not worth the effort? i think , there are so many different ways and so much possibilities to drive a sstc or isstc in so many different ways, there must be more than simple fm audio modulation with a few mhz and only headphone volume.what do ya think?

Tube plasma tweeters are essentially AM modulated VTTCs, so I'd expect an AM modulated SSTC to behave the same as one of these tweeters. It should give better sound quality than FM sure enough. I think Sue Gaeta once made an AM modulated VTTC of a few kilowatts power, using parts from an old AM ham radio transmitter that used high-level modulation.
