Its obviously a light / electrical pole and I'm guessing the object is the Moon, although according to the EXIF information, the image was taken on 9/6/06 so the Moon wasn't full then, so i'm probably wrong with the Moon as my guess.

Of course it is the moon, it was full here in italy, the picture was taken a week before to make the things a bit more complicated.
