Ordered the LCD display and going to test it with the Pickit3, just a couple of questions. It is a parallel interface does that mean, I can use bit flipping on 8 digital output pin, and just output when I like, the screen as a crystal, do I need to match that, or is that just used on board.

With P0/RC0,P3/RA0 can I wire up the 8 ports for RC and RA and change the below code for the byte information sent, rather than know for one bit?

I'm sorry I don't have time (or energy) to debug your code ;)
just use the SPI interface and send the commands you'll find in the datasheet... you'll have more pins to use for other functions and you'll be able to command more peripherals later on

Hi Shrad It had a reference to SPI, but didn't have any information about setting it up. is the wiring diagram, would you connect to DB0 for data.
If in parallel would the read/write pin be high or low or would it be the chip selected when low. Looking again TP_CLK looks like it would be it, say it was high, would the display read the parallel pins, then when drops low, I can then raise it again for the next byte of info.
