If you were to build a laptop or tablet, what hardware tools would you like with it.
List to be updated. Multimeter(current/voltage/resistance/
capacitance/inductance) Rf spectrum analyzer Oscilloscope 4 channel analogue/digital data input logger GPS Homing beacon, with nodes Signal generator Voltage source 1-1kv Wifi/bluetooth/zigbee etc

A data logger with analogue and digital inputs. Sometimes these come bundled with scope software.
Data loggers are just the thing for multi-channel environmental monitoring - the signals from the different sensors in a weather station for example - wind speed, wind direction, temperature, relative humidity, gamma counts, muon showers, and so on.

The first data logger only have a sample rate of 1 second. Not sure about the hantek and their website seems to be down.
I have a old "Data monitor KS 3010" with built-in floppy drive that does 125ms sampling on 6 analogue channels, will properly be hard to find anything better than that at a fair price.

I'm putting on hold one of my projects to try and make a multimeter and frequency counter, its abit rough at the moment, but it will be better than buying one experience wise.
Any one have any ideas what you would put into a laptop or tablet
