Hi all. have one of these here, laptop has been repaired by bodging the inverter to "always on" mode ![smile](https://4hv.org/e107_images/emotes/default/smile.png) Works fine although the screen sometimes lights up when the power is plugged in upon battery reaching full charge and goes out when the power is unplugged.
Problem is the dreaded "Won't recognise non *p" WiFi or IDE drives. Does anyone have a fix because I have located a supplier of DB /2.4/5.2 Wifi cards that also work in the Pi with a suitable mod. Needless to say the computer say Nyet!!! and won't even boot with the non HP device installed.
I may have figured out a fix, which is to copy the special code from the working card's serial memory and then present it upon booting to fool the BIOS into accepting the new card.
Thanks! #include "box_of_components-reward.h"
