Im thinking of this shape revolved into a circular duct for an 11 inch propeller.
In the above pic, the red is the NACA 4312 airfoil. Purely generated for a wing. The white and red upper surface are what im considering to make a stiff and strong duct cross section.
Ill use a hot wire foam cutting device and Styrofoam. Then ill cover with carbon and glass fiber for strength and stiffness.
finally, this PDF was instrumental in my understanding of some more complicated matters involved in this task.
this website has a generator for airfoils on it.
heres a pic of the wide radius intake id like to duplicate.

Using a tapered bit in a mill to trace a profile-cutter jig set for a lathe is the fastest way to make several hundred identical parts.
However, if you do not have a CNC mill or a lathe for foam parts, than you may have to use a manual method. IIRC a 4hv member used laser printed templates, and glued the rings for finishing.
If you value your time, the 3D printed parts & molds are a faster way to build complex one-off designs:
Note too, 2L soda bottles will act like shrink-tubing around a wood or plaster form. A very easy way to make light-weight plastic EDF ducts for RC.
