Hello, i am working on STM32F429 controlling 800x480 AMOLED panel. It works, but now i have to make pcb for it. Original setup use SDRAM as frame buffer IS42S16400J -7
But performance because of not that powerful processor is a bit weak. Can i impruve it by changing frame buffer ? Original idea is o use SRAM at 10ns access time, but will it be faster ?. Or, maybe i can do even better, if yes, how ?

STM32F429 has LTDC as well as FSMC controller. that means that signal generation for AMOLED is done in hardware, and does not use cortex m4 for that . AMOLED use normal RGB I/F (5R6G5B+VSYNC+HSYNC+ENABLE+SPI)
About external controller, i really don't know will it be faster than integrated LTDC controller on STM32F429 , it will do same thing
